Anand Kumar of Brother shifts base to Dubai

RS Anand Kumar, India Country Manager at Brother International Ltd is moving base to Dubai. He would be handling the laser printer business of Brother for the markets of Middle East, Turkey, Parts of Africa and India from December 1. 

Kumar has been promoted to the position of Ranjit Gurkhar, the former General Manager for the Middle East and India market while Gurkhar has been moved up the hierarchy. The company is yet to identify a successor for Kumar to officiate as Country Manager of India. "Since we are yet to find a person for India, I am holding the portfolio as an additional responsibility," said Kumar. 

Kumar has been in charge of the India market for the past two years. He spearheaded the expansion of the company in the retail business and boosted the channel network for different set of products. 

The job for the new India Country Manager has been well cut out and the challenges would include penetrating into 200 more cities, adding new partners and products in PCs, peripherals and components. The target is to boost the company's revenue by 50 to 100 percent.
