"Altosys will extend product support to clients who purchase the English
version of Turbolinux. Initially, our focus would be on the South East Asian
market and this would later be extended to other geographies such as the US and
Europe, soon," said L Ramesh, Business Head, Altosys Software Linux.

"A 10-seater operation, as part of a two-months pilot study is on. This
would be converted into a real time GSC, soon. The pilot study already works
with Turobo-linux's South and South East Asian market," he added.

Altosys had originally signed up with Turbolinux, to distribute their product
in the Indian region alone in November 2004. According to Ramesh, both companies
will be forming a joint venture before the end of the year. The venture will
combine both sales and support activities and will also give Turbolinux a direct
presence in the country.
