Allied Telesis to strengthen India presence

IP and ethernet network solutions provider, Allied Telesis is working towards strengthening its market presence across the country. Recently, the company conducted an exclusive customer event in Kolkata, while on the other hand, it also appointed Shani Peripherals as its value added distributor. These developments and engagement programs are part of the larger strategy towards achieving its targets in the Indian sub-continent.

In an interaction, Jakub Duch, APAC solution business director, Allied Telesis said, "India market today offers tremendous opportunities especially in the government and infrastructure segments. We are working towards tapping all possible opportunities in these verticals." He further added that apart from the aforementioned they are also exploring opportunities in the healthcare, PSU and education segments. The latter two are potentially really strong verticals while healthcare is still in the early stages, so the deployments in the particular segment are still at the basic level.

Commenting on the Indian market, Duch stated, "India is an exciting market for business. Across the country, one will come across technically strong people and company individuals who are keen on learning and adapting newer technologies. The industry is indeed quality conscious and they do not mind spending on quality products. Duch said, "However, when dealing with government there are lot of processes like the other APAC nations, but the executions definitely have scope for speeding up."

Allied Telesis offers a wide gamut of solutions in both enterprise and video surveillance categories. Recently, the company added a few more products in its pipeline. In India, the vendor claims to offer strong enterprise products and solutions. Duch said, "We have a very comprehensive offering lined up in this market. In addition, we have multiple programs rolled out to further strengthen our market share, which includes roadshows, customer events, partner engagement programs and more." He further said, "At the grassroot level, we will be even focusing on building up the skill set of our channel partners, sales and technical team."

The company official states that they have a stringent process in place. As of today, the company has about 180 registered partners and it is planning to add more partners to its bandwagon. In addition, the company has rolled out programs to educate and train its partners. Furthermore, the company is concluding its certification programs rolled out for channel partners.
