New Delhi, Oct 19
Allahabad Computer Dealers' Welfare Association (ACDWA)
organized a four-day event in Allahabad from Oct 13-16 that marked the walk-in
of around five lakh visitors and dealers came across large enquiries from the
buyers about the upcoming technologies.
During the four-day IT expo, channel partners witnessed a
rising interest of customers in the town for possessing not only high-end
desktops but also laptops priced in the range of Rs 35,000 to 40,000. The IT
expo was a part of 'Midnight Bazaar' where 40 IT stalls occupied the space.
The event marked the participation
of all the major IT vendors including, Lenovo, HP, HCL, Compaq, Sahara and
Intel.
Shiv Shankar Singh, President, ACDWA informed, "The
event has been successful and the turning up of customers has been unexpectedly
enormous. We have got commendable support from all the vendors who are offering
the products with various schemes. The prices too are low in the expo as
compared to normal
days. We hope to organize such event every year."
Manish Mehrotra, Secretary, ACDWA, commented that it is
surprising to see the interest of customers specifically home users showing keen
interest in buying desktops and laptops that too for their kids and wives.
"The success of the event is marked by the number of
footfall witnessed. It was a huge success as lakh of customers thronged the
place, and the rush is so much that the dealers are unable to attend all the customers personally.
This is a good sign and marks the high interest of customers towards
technology," said Mehrotra.
Singh further highlighted that the expo has been a part of
Midnight Bazaar, a mega exhibition center, and association too would try to
organize such expos on their own next year.
