Allahabad Computer Dealers Association goes for election

Gearing up to work towards stabilizing the price-structure for
channels

The Allahabad Computer Dealers Association conducted its annual
election for the posts of President, VP, Secretary, Treasurer and Joint
Secretary. Manish Mehrotra from Tritech Enterprises has been elected as the
President of the association for the third time.

The 100 people strong associa-tion went in for polls and more
than 70 people went out to cast their votes, 40 of them opted for Manish. The
post of VP went to Shiv Shankar Singh of Stek Systems, Sidharth Sharma of
Konarka was elected as the Secretary, while the other posts went to Deepak
Agarwal of Matrix Systems as Treasurer and DR Chopra from Sys Care as Joint
Secretary. Five members were also elected as executive body members of the
association.

Sharing his views on the focus for coming year, Mehrotra
explained that unstable prices in the market still dog the profit-making
opportunities for channels and this would be an area of focus for the
association.

"Moving forward, we would be channeling our efforts to
focus on stabilizing our pricing policy. We are going to come out with a
combined price list for assembled as well as branded products. This list will be
updated on a daily basis if there is a need to do so," he added.

The association will also be conducting ‘talk sessions’ by
industry gurus, to deliver their experience and knowledge about the industry.
"We would engage our-selves to organize various talk sessions involving
various eminent people from the society and industry to enlighten association
members. Here we would be addressing issues like cost-cutting or cyber
laws," Mehrotra added.
