Kolkata, 21st December: Alfa Tech has been chosen as the regional distributor solely for West Bengal by China based supplier Tenda. Tenda is a leading supplier of networking devices and equipments that include WiFi devices, ADSL CPEs, Ethernet switches, mobile broadband (3/3.5/3.75G) devices and wired routers. The firm started its global branding efforts from 2006 and has clocked sales revenue of $33 million in 2006 to $300 million in 2013. It has been growing at 30% year on year. Tenda has done business in more than hundred countries and has over two hundred exclusive stores globally. The firm showcases its products in major tech fairs globally like GITEX in Dubai, Computex in Taipei and CES in Las Vegas. The target market for Tenda's products include small business, SOHO and independent users
Their product line is newly launched in India, less than two years back. Fortune Marketing Pvt., Ltd is the national distributor for the product range. Speaking to Tim Zheng, Business Development Executive, India who was on a visit to Kolkata for its first marketing campaign in the state said that "what made this product different from others in the market is its three year warranty period and hand to hand replacement facility irrespective of what the problem is."
The Wi-Fi routers is priced keeping the Indian market in mind. It starts at 900INR and goes upto 5000INR."Distributors are generally perceived as box pushers. We are however unique since we specialize in networking products exclusively. Apart from revenues and profit margins, we also look at the potential of the product and how best it can be marketed and sold to the end consumers," commented Pranay Agarwal, CEO, Alfa Tech.
