The new team of All Kerala Information Technology Dealers Association (AKITDA), Kottayam district, has planned to increase the total member strength to 300 by including 200 more members in this financial year. The association has recently concluded its elections. PG Anil Prasad has been elected as the new president, Bobus Varghesh as the general secretary, and Jossy Joseph as the treasurer.
Speaking to The DQ Week, Prasad told, "Our first priority is to add 200 more members from Kottayam and in the neighboring districts. After the successful completion of this member drive, we are planning to bring out a special IT directory. Our association has both big and small sub-distributors, resellers, system integrators, and dealers." He further added that the district will keenly concentrate on conducting training sessions. "We have plans to conduct at least two training sessions for our members every month," he informed. He also added that opportunities for partners are more in Kottayam as there are many IT parks, software companies, and manufacturing units of non-IT companies in the region.
