Sunil Kumar, PRO of AKITDA said that all the district committees will have to complete the membership renewals before the elections. Hence, they have been given the time of 2 months to comply with the renewal process before the election.

“As per our bye law every district must complete the registration and renewal of members before District Elections and must elect new office bearers. Every 20 member  will have a representative (20:1)  to the State Council. Since many district committees have taken charge of late we may not be able to conduct elections in all the 14 districts before April 2016. All the district committees will elect their state executives who will vote to elect the new president. The president upon his election will have a right to choose the governing body. The state executive committee may also unanimously elect the executive committee”, Kumar said.

Kumar said that each district may have an average 10 state executives depending upon the strength of the members. “We have 14 district committees and therefore, we expect 130-200 state executive members to vote in the Presidential election”, he said.
