It seems that Indian companies have star-ted designing for OEMs. Mumbai-based
Aftek Infosys has come out with a Personal Wireless Gateway called ‘Angelia’,
that offers seamless connectivity to various communication networks like GSM/GPRS,
802.11b and VOIP.
Ranjit Dhuru, Chairman and CEO, Aftek, said, "We are planning to launch
this technology soon in India. It has been developed in our Pune facility and is
quite affordable as it has some unmatched features and is the first of its kind
of technology that we are going to launch in India and other countries."
The company has started selling this techno-logy in Malaysia, Far East, Korea
and Japan. It is being marketed there by G-Tec. In India, the company is yet to
formalize the marketing model. Aftek is in touch with a couple of global telecom
companies that include Siemens and Motorola and in India Reliance.
