Aftek bets on ‘Angelia’ to revolutionize Indian telecom market

It seems that Indian companies have star-ted designing for OEMs. Mumbai-based

Aftek Infosys has come out with a Personal Wireless Gateway called ‘Angelia’,

that offers seamless connectivity to various communication networks like GSM/GPRS,

802.11b and VOIP.

Ranjit Dhuru, Chairman and CEO, Aftek, said, "We are planning to launch

this technology soon in India. It has been developed in our Pune facility and is

quite affordable as it has some unmatched features and is the first of its kind

of technology that we are going to launch in India and other countries."

The company has started selling this techno-logy in Malaysia, Far East, Korea

and Japan. It is being marketed there by G-Tec. In India, the company is yet to

formalize the marketing model. Aftek is in touch with a couple of global telecom

companies that include Siemens and Motorola and in India Reliance.
