Advent Electronics, distributor of products like Netgear and Allied Telesyn,
is planning to hold roadshows in 30 cities. Six roadshows have already been held–three
in Delhi, one each in Ahmedabad, Chennai and Mumbai. And now it will be
targeting the B cities for its networking products along with holding training
sessions.
Anoop Verma, Country Head, Advent Electronics, stated, "We want to play
a significant role here and therefore have plans to adopt aggressive go to
market strategy. We are also in the process of appointing more and more
dealers."
Presently, Advent has 250 channel partners out of which 125 are Active (SIs)
and the rest comprise of the resellers.
Advent, which started its India operations two years back, is also entering
into a lot of alliances. Recently it added Netgear products in its kitty and is
in the process of adding more.
Though not revealing the names Verma informed that they are in the process of
tying up with an American company for its structured cabling and passive
components business. Another company is a national based company.
"We are in the process of finalizing the alliance for marketing of
Internet band-width to give connection to call centers and others," he
added.
Verma has plans to increase the number of its products to 1,000 and he also
added that they might go into the lease line modems too.
