Advantech, Asustek establish Advansus Computer

Advantech Co Ltd and Asustek have a joint venture to establish Advansus
Computer, which was registered on Jan 20. At the beginning, total capital would
be NT$ one billion and both parties hold half of share. The company will start
running on the first of April and focus in some new fields such as industrial
notebook etc. The company's early earning prediction of this year is NT$ two
billion and expects to hit NT$ 15 billion in five years with revenue of NT$ 1.5
billion. KC Liu, President, Advantech Co Ltd stated that the birth of Advansus
Computer presents a whole new strategic alliance model. The two companies have a
joint venture to establish and support the new companies. The new company will
set itself as global leadership brand of professional industrial computer OEM
company.
