ADP sets up its Global Technology Center in Hyderabad

ADP Inc, a fortune 200 company and provider of computerized transaction processing, data communications and information services in the world with 40,000 associates worldwide, has announced the setting up of its Global Technology Center in Hyderabad. 

"India has all the advantages - location, quality man power, time zone differential, higher productivity, IT infrastructure and supportive regulatory environment," said Malcolm Thorne, VP and GM (CRM - ADP), adding, "All these factors compelled ADP to expand our India high technology backbone operations."

The 40,000 sq ft ADP facility at Hyderabad is coming up at the cost of $ 2 million. Equipped with a 2 mbps international private leased line circuit (IPLC) link directly to the US and a 2 mbps Internet bandwidth, the new facility will facilitate direct client interaction through excellent voice infrastructure. The facility would become operational on July 15, this year.

Ayush Maheshwari, Director (Technical Services and Operations), ADP, said, "Our primary focus is to expand utilization across several areas of our business to improve time-to-market, service levels quality, and quality of life for our associates."

Thorne added, "We will increase our employee strength from current 400 to 800-1,000 by the next fiscal year."

According to ADP projections, 25 to 30 percent of growth is expected in the following year.
