When asked what would be the next step in case Dell India takes a legal route. He replied, "Our association on behalf of importers is all set to counter any step against Dell India."

At the meet, the association also shared concern regarding the decline in VAT collection from Nehru Place. Inder Chand Jaju, general secretary, ADCTA said, "In the past, our association has been asked by the Sales Tax commissioner on the advent of unregistered dealers, evasion of VAT tax, and the drastic drop in VAT collections. We have been threatened by the sales tax team for enforcement and in few places they have raided some of our members."

Commenting on the drop in VAT collection, Jaju said, "Instances like Dell unfair trade practices has forced traders to stop their business transaction. As a result they could not sale any product in the market. Thus the payment of VAT was almost low."
