Things have been quickly steaming up after the formation of new government in Delhi. While there have been some populist measures taken, IT trade partners in particular have ample reasons to rejoice.

All Delhi Computer Traders Association (ADCTA) is now entrusted upon the job of being the single point of contact for any developments is Nehru Place, according to ADCTA president Mahinder Aggarwal.

"Our association has got a letter from Vyapar Manda, which is a congregation of all traders, to look into the matters of Nehru Place," says Aggarwal. He said that whether it is a DDA or income tax or service tax issue, ADCTA will be the first point of contact.

He mentioned that earlier many genuine traders were subjected to harassment by law enforcement agencies as well as tax collecting officials.

The association also met the secretary of the Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal recently, to discuss the matter on VAT simplification. The body members will soon be meeting the chief minister personally.
