Due to elections in Gujarat, which will be held in two phases-the first round
on Dec 11 and the second round on Dec 16, Ahmedabad Computer Merchants
Association (ACMA) has postponed the dates of its IT exhibition called the
IT-Show. Earlier the dates for the exhibition were finalized for Dec 15 to 17,
but now it would kick start from Dec 28. Kaushik Pandya, President, ACMA said,
“We don't want to create any kind of confusion during the time of elections. As
there were also problems with the availability of the ground during the time of
elections, where we wanted to have our exhibition, so we decided to postpone it.
Now ACMA will have the exhibition from Dec 28-30 at the AES Ground.”

Sangram Singh, Member-Exhibition Committee, ACMA said, “We have completed
around 80 percent of our bookings, ie, out of  168 stalls, 121 have already
been booked. TCL will be the key sponsor and we still have one month to book
other stalls.”

Singh added that the last exhibition that was arranged by ACMA saw over 3.5
lakh visitors. “This year we expect more people to visit our exhibition. Last
year, the business generated from the exhibition was around 1.5 crore, and we
expect even more returns this year,” said Singh.
