ACMA IT expo to be held in February

The theme of the show, now in its 9th edition, is 'Next Generation IT', wherein ACMA will have an exclusive space to display the Next Generation IT hardware and software

This year, the Ahmedabad Computers Merchants Association (ACMA) IT show, is scheduled to be held on February 15 to 17 2013, at the Gujarat Convention Exhibition Center, Ahmedabad, in a fully air-conditioned and Wi-Fi enabled hall.

Due to the state election result announced in the month of December last year and Vibrant Gujarat expo, slated to be held in January, 2013, ACMA has shifted its expo to February.

The theme of the show, now in its 9th edition, is 'Next Generation IT', wherein ACMA will have an exclusive space to display the Next Generation IT hardware and software. Moreover, this year, the show will focus on B-2-B, B-2-C and B-2-G category of IT and is projecting around 170 participants.

The profile of exhibitors ranges from Antivirus software's, CCTV and surveillance products, data recovery, data centre, IT infrastructure, multimedia, networking products security, storage products, Thin Clients, System Integrators, Virtualization and many more.

At the expo, participants can also explore the possibilities of one-to-one interaction with CIOs of Gujarat, find new market territories, get an opportunity to network with government sector, consolidate business relationship, meet around 2000 IT dealers and state channel partners.

ACMA has also partnered with FITAG (Federation of IT Association Gujarat) to hold an IT convention on the second day of event. This will assist in bringing the state IT association under the same platform.

According to Narendra Bhetaria, president, ACMA, "With the continuous growth of Gujarat, it is not only seen as a business hub, but also as the next IT Hub. Various IT companies have found Gujarat an ideal place for their sector. Such IT expo will enhance the entry of new IT companies and their business formats"

The expo, in its last season, had seen a footfall of approximately 70,000 visitors over 3 days. This year the association is expecting the number to be around 1 lakh.
