Acer to empower SMBs with VAT compliant models

The company is offering special SMB rebate on select Acer desktops, notebooks
and servers during Tally Mela

Acer has announced a new initiative to empower corporate in the SMB space-SPACE
(SMB Program for Acer Customer Empowerment). Acer will offer VAT compliant Tally
7.2 soft-ware bundled with Acer desk-tops (Acer Power S111 and Acer Power S270)
notebook (Acer TravelMate 2304) and server (Altos G310 MK2) models at attractive
prices. This bundle offer will be available during the Tally Mela being held
across 10 cities and 11 venues from March 25 to April 4, 2005. The offer is
valid till April 10, 2005 and can be availed at the Tally Mela and through Acer's
authorized channel partners during this period.

Under the scheme Acer will offer the Acer Power S111 and Acer Power S270 with
Tally 7.2 (single user) at Rs 22,949 and Rs 29,949. Acer will also offer the
Acer TravelMate 2304 notebook with Tally 7.2 (single user) at Rs 34,949 and the
Acer Altos G310 MK2 server with Tally 7.2 (multi user) at Rs 51,999. These
prices include a rebate of Rs 2,000 on the desktop and the notebook models and
Rs 3,500 off on the server model to SMB customers.

With this new initiative of empowering the SMB seg-ment, Acer hopes to
further grow its market share in this space.
