Acer launches new DLP projector PD 113p

Acer has introduced a new projector PD 113p with the Digital Light Processing
(DLP) tech-nology. The PD 113p is equi-pped with 1700 Lumens and an inbuilt
speaker. It has a 200 W user replaceable NSH Lamp and over 2,000 hours of lamp
life. In the Economy mode the Lamp life is 3000 hours.

The PD 113p supports 16.7 million displayable colors and has a contrast ratio
of 2000:1. It also has a projection lens of "F / 2.5~2.7, f=20.2~24.2 mm
1:1.2 Manual Zoom and Manual Focus. The projected screen size by the PD 113p is
27.5" (0.7m)~330" (8.4m). The projector weighs 2.3Kg and is backed by
a two-year warranty. The PD 113p is priced at Rs 59, 999 + tax.

S Rajendran, Consumer Product Group Sales and Marketing GM, Acer India said,
"Globally the compound annual growth rate for projectors (CAGR) for
2003-2007 is expected to reach 22.4 percent, according to IDC. The Indian
projector market is estimated to be between Rs 200 crore and Rs 250 crore. In
such a situation the digital projector industry has evolved from a burgeoning
and niche industry to its current state of early maturity. Acer has always tried

masses at consumer-level price points. This new addition to our range is an
