Ludhiana association dissolved post president resignation

Now, the association is planning to hold fresh elections in the first week of September

Following the sudden resignation by Subhash Gupta, president, ACE Ludhiana, current body of the association members have taken a stand to dissolve. Now, the association is planning to hold fresh elections in the first week of September.

In a dramatic move, ACE Ludhiana, without completing its tenure, which was scheduled to be over in the month of September, went for dissolution of house. However, the notification of body dissolve has been communicated to all the 150 ACE members on the evening of August 22nd.

Speaking to The DQ Week Gurpreet Singh, general secretary, ACE Ludhiana said, "From last 2-3 days our association has been getting pressures from the dealer market to dissolve the house and go for an early election. Although we wanted to complete our term, but with the resignation of our president, we were left with no choice. Meanwhile, we also had a meeting with the ex-president Sunny of DCad and his last team, after which we mutually decided to announce fresh elections."

A new team will be taking over in-charge in the month of September. Till then, the dissolved body will not be functioning. "With the beginning of September, the tenure of present association body of ACE is coming to an end. The new election dates and subsequent procedure will be intimated to all members," said Singh.

In last 1 year ACE Ludhiana took up various activities for the betterment of members. Some of the major achievements of the current body were organizing health checkup camp for members, blood donation camp for thallasemia kids, helping in maintaining of dealer to dealer and disti to dealer amicable relationships, Microsoft issue handling and 90% completion of Punjab level ACE member directory. The dissolved body is also auditing the year book by the independent charted accountant.

Despite these achievements, the dealers of Ludhiana were not satisfied with the kind of work being done by the association.
