Ludhiana based Association of Computer Entrepreneurs (ACE) has selected its 5 office bearers and 9 executive members for 2012-13 amicably, without having any formal elections. Sunil Prabhakar, presiding officer, announced the decided team. The current team has got representatives from the former team, which was dissolved following the sudden resignation by the president.
The new team comprises Gurpreet Singh (Sunny) of DCad, who has been selected as president; the VP post has been taken over by Gurpreet Singh of Premier Computers, who was earlier holding the portfolio of general secretary; Gurpreet Singh Jagdev of Netline Infotech has become general secretary and for joint secretary post, Naveen Bama of Bama Infotech will be responsible; while the post of treasurer will be managed by Kanwaljit Singh Bakshi of New Bakshi Computers.
It has also been reported that post the dissolution of last team, the entire channel community of Ludhiana has split into two camps. Each camp had put in great efforts during the nomination and pre-election campaign to come to power.
Talking about the election campaign Gurpreet Singh, VP, ACE said, "The situation around nomination time was volatile. We floated our campaign under Access Group Life (AGL) where we did door to door campaigning and carried out manifesto. It was a 3-days long rigorous election campaign. However, with the intervention of our past presidents and patrons, we reached at a amicable decision, and both the teams gave their consent to have one team, with having equal representation from both the parties. On September 3, we held general body meeting in the presence of over 100 ACE members including former presidents and founder members and announced team for 2012-13."
Our association has always worked together for the benefit of its members as well as giving security to consumers as well. Taking the same tradition ahead, a new body was formed by unanimous decision. The new body formed aims to take the work ahead along with the guidance and experience of previous body and support of all its members.
