Now it's time for Ankleshwar and Bharuch Information Techno-logy
Association (ABITA) to set off to Goa for its first Annual General Meeting (AGM)
at the end of this month. It will be a gather-ing of around 100 people,
including members and their families attending the Goa event.

The event would be pa-rtially sponsored by ven-dors and partly by mem-bers of
ABITA. The spon-sors of the event are still being finalized. "The trip to
Goa wo-uld be for maximum three days. The main agenda at the AGM would include
finalizing the constitution and board of me-mbers for next year. We have decided
that one third of the members would be retained and the rest would retire. The
other major points of discu-ssion would be-organizing ABITA's annual
exhibition next year and also approaching vendors to set up service cen-ters at
Ankleshwar and Bha-ruch," said Manish Shah, Pre-sident of ABITA.

In fact, the association has a member base of 83 members presently and had
initially, started off with a strength of 20 to 25 members. "In the
beginning, we had kept a target of 70 members, but have over achieved it. The
association will also continue condu-cting seminars for its members like last
year. The informa-tion disseminated at such seminars have been helpful to our
association members," added Shah.
