Now it's time for Ankleshwar and Bharuch Information Technology Association
(ABITA) to set off to Goa for its first Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the end
of this month. It will be a gathering of around 100 people, including me-mbers
and their families attending the Goa event.

The event would be partially sponsored by vendors and partly by members of
ABITA. The sponsors of the event are still being finalized. "The trip to
Goa would be for maximum three days. The main agenda at the AGM would include
finalizing the constitution and board of members for next year. We have decided
that one third of the members would be retained and the rest would retire. The
other major points of discussion would be- organizing ABITA's annual
exhibition next year and also approaching vendors to set up service centers at
Ankleshwar and Bharuch," said Manish Shah, President of ABITA.

In fact, the association has a member base of 83 members pre-sently and had
initi-ally, started off with a strength of 20 to 25 members. "In the
beginning, we had kept a target of 70 members, but have over achieved it. The
association will also continue con-ducting seminars for its members like last
year. The information disseminated at such seminars have been helpful to our
association members," added Shah.
