Abee to enter retail segment

Pune-based Abee Consumables and Peripherals Shoppe Pvt Ltd launched its first corporate showroom in Pune. It is a step towards establishing an organized branded retail chain of shoppes for the retailing of computer consumables, peri-pherals and hardware with special focus on inkjet, laser and dot matrix printer cartridge refilling and remanufacturing.

BB Somani, CEO of the company said, "I believe that this chain of Shoppe will be able to provide the refilling service at a very competitive cost and set a benchmark for the industry." 

The company is planning to franchise 20 to 25 branded collection centers all around Pune and the surrounding township of Pimpri-Chinch-wad Municipal Corporation. There are plans for one corpo-rate showroom and one pro-cess house of it's own and 15 to 30 even 50 (depending the requirement) branded collect-ion centers in 50 cities in India within next five years.

"Our company is also plan-ning to enter the retail sector in other computer consum-ables such as ink jet paper and transparencies, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD, DVD-RW, floppy, plain and preprinted continuous stationary and self adhesive labels, mouse, keyboard, OEM ink jet cartridges of all brands, hard disks, CD drive, floppy drive, branded computers, branded printers and monitors.
