Abacus Peripherals to open 18 service stations across India

Seeing
a
good growth prospect in the market for its entire product range,
the Mumbai-headquartered

Peripherals, has decided to open 18 service stations for its
product
across the country in the FY '10-11. “The services stations would
be focused only on the non-metro cities as
we see a lot of
potential in the tier-2 and 3 towns of India. Also, we color="#000000">
will support the customers with the entire range of our products sold
in India, in terms of dealing with the replacement and warranty
issues of the products, and are expected to limit turnaround time for
product replacement to 24-48 hours,” said Vipul Modi, Marketing
Manager, Abacus Peripherals.

Currently,
the
hardware distributor has 32 services centers in both metro and
non-metro cities. According to Modi, the company is looking forward
to tap the mid-market with the help of our channel partners in
various geographies of India. “
Abacus will expand its
quality computer peripherals at reasonable prices to its channel
partners and end-users. Also, as part of our marketing strategy, we
plan to conduct some dealer meets and interactive sessions to educate
the channel community on the latest technologies, solve their queries
and build better relations with them,” said Modi. Currently,
there
are about 3,300 channel partners for Abacus Peripherals.

Apart
from
helping its customers through the sales and service support,
Abacus is also focused to increase its brand value by adding in more
products into its portfolio. Recently, Abacus has tied-up with the
Taiwan-based
PC cooling solutions provider
Cooler Master Co. Ltd. where the hardware distributor is appointed as
the national distributor for the products. Talking about the
integration Cooler Master products, Umesh Modi, CEO, Abacus
Peripherals, said, “With the tremendous growth in the market with
niche sectors such as gaming, 3D animation, high-performance
computing, and many more, there is an urgent need for the quality
peripherals and our association with CM helps us to address this need
of the market.” Also, he said that the Cooler Master's products
align perfectly with its current portfolio enabling them to offer
well-rounded solution to its channel partners.

Speaking on the business
growth of Abacus Peripherals, Modi said that it is expected that the
company would witness a growth of about 25 percent by the end of this
fiscal and 100 percent growth contribution from the channel partners.
“Also, we are in talks with a Taiwanese brand for dealing graphic
cards,” he added.
