With the approaching scorch of the summer heat, fruity delights never seems to surprise us and applying this concept in its marketing and sales approach, Softmart has come up with an innovative approach in maximising its sales.
Taking a cue from its personal experience with summer fruits, the company is offering a box of alphonso mangoes to its dealers upon completion of a minimum sales target of Rs. 10,000 by the end of April, 2012. Adding a metallic glitter to it, Softmart has also come up with a dealer proposition of giving a gold coin to clients for a higher target.
"We have been getting mangoes at a personal level which I think adds sweetness to an existing business relationship. In the same way, we have come up with a sweet value proposition to our partners across India", said Alok Gupta, CEO, Softmart.
Even as the scheme is unique in its own way with Gupta avoiding any electrical consumables or media players as a preferred gift choice for his clients and partners, the idea seems to have paid off well for the company.
"We have been running this scheme over the past 2 years and getting excellent numbers with such schemes; this time however, we have resorted to the social media to make it more popular", he added.
Using the marketing tools of the company for the association pages on facebook, Softmart has listed down the entire pricelist and the categories over which the scheme will be applicable.
"The prices we have listed on the social media are based on bulk purchases for our clients and is pretty attractive. Besides a price advantage, our dealers will be getting a further bonus in form of a basket of mangoes or a gold coin to their added advantage", Gupta stated.
Although Softmart has recently introduced this novel concept off fruits and gold using social media tools, the company has been consistently offering other value propositions like family movie tickets and all over the past few years.
