Transporters cause losses for Uttaranchal IT market

The First GBM organised by Uttranchal IT Trader Association on August 12 at JSR Continental hotel in Dehradun. Newly President Gurmeet Singh Juneja addressed to the house and introduced newly constituted working committee.

During the GBM, the major issues were raised by members of UITTA. Uttranchal market facing some issues regarding transportation of goods and some missing of goods in delivery. There were issues with the transporters in the region that the business was not being done responsibly as the material was being lost by the transporters while transferring it to the respective destinations. Sellers had to suffer monetary losses because of the irresponsible behaviour of the transporters hence  the house anonymously agreed on the practice of safe transportation of goods may be at a higher cost and the pattern to be followed will be based on the pattern used by the national distributors like Savex/ Redington/Neoteric etc.

On the issues related to ethical trade practice Gurmeet Singh Juneja, president UITTA said, “We have agreed that an undertaking will be drafted and signed by all the members in consent to hiring of persons from one organisation to another with mutual consent and getting a NOC from the person and similarly in the case of vendors. When the vendor assigns a new partner, vendor will have to seek NOC from the old partner about the pending stock and the financial matters”.

Satbir Singh Roulaniya, secretary UITTA added on the matters related to payment defaults within the community, “Our committee has decided that the President will take all necessary steps to get the matter resolved amicably with both  the parties and will ensure no further billing to the defaulting partner from any partner including the ND’s until the matter is resolved”.

In matters related to payment default from the end customers part, all the affected members will be responsible to send a mail to the President so that the matter can be taken up in the Association for solution and to prevent all other fellow members to get into the trap.

“Further to make the association cash rich and self-supportive we have decided to collect a sum of Rs. 5000.00 from vendors/distributors as coordination fees for any event or dealers meet, was taken unanimously by the house” Gurmeet Singh Juneja added.

During the GBM, the committee members has also decided that all the partners will follow the habit of issuing a cheque while dealing with each other, however a window of 7 days is allowed for issuing the cheque and the responsibility lies with the buyer to ensure the delivery of the cheque to the seller within the stipulated 7 days time.

Shouldering the social responsibility as well, the association will be organising a blood donation camp on 22nd of august this year with the presence of maximum of its members doing the blood donation.

The new working committee consists of Gurmeet singh Juneja president, Satbir Singh Roulaniya, secretary, Anuj Sangal, treasurer, Preetpal Singh, Shekhar Mahadevan, Jagrit Goyal and Pradeep khanduri members of the committee were present during the GBM.
