Tata introduces C# in course curriculum

Tata Infotech Education has introduced C sharp (C#) program based on the .NET technology platform of Microsoft for software professionals. The program introduces concepts of.NET platform, Windows 2000 followed by details on C#.

C# is a modern, object oriented development language that enables programmers to build solutions for the .NET platform quickly and easily. The framework provided by .NET allows C# programmers to develop Web services that are available from any application running on any platform.

.NET is a mix of technologies, standards and development tools and is a new platform for developing and running software systems for windows platform. The C# program offered by Tata Infotech is targeted at professionals in the IT industry and professionals from other streams who want to update and build applications on the .NET platform. The duration of the program is 106 hours and is priced at Rs 11,900.

The company is also planning to open 200 new education centers in the country this year apart from already present 200 centers. The company is also planning for opening of 50 international centers in the Middle East, South Africa and South- East Asia this year. 

Speaking on the occasion Rahul Thapan, Director, Tata Infotech (Education division) said, "The program offered by the company is structured in such a way that it provides state of art technology to students so that they can get a hands on feel of the .NET technology and become proficient in the C# language."
