To explain further, Deepfakes are a kind-of-videos in which the face of the subject is swapped with the help of AI-generated or machine-learning algorithms. Redditor Deepfake created this subreddit last year in November.

Further, in the month of January 2018, the FakeApp desktop application was launched as a tool for designing digitally modified videos.

Though, now it has been banned by the above-mentioned platforms. This movement started when it came to the realisation that people are using this AI tool to edit faces in porn videos with celebrity faces. It was first noticed by Motherboard.

This alteration of faces has been counted as one of the first signals of risks posed by artificial intelligence. Also, any content created by machine learning is so realistic that one can never figure out.

Finally, it has been stamped out by Reddit, Twitter and Pornhub and further have been described as ‘involuntary pornography’.
