The OpenStack technology market is expected to hit $3.3 billion by 2018, and was a key topic of discussion during June’s Red Hat Summit in Boston. Red Hat Forum’s theme this year, “Energize Your Enterprise,” continues this discussion, focusing on enterprises leveraging the latest IT solutions in order to innovate and transform the way business is done, highlighted by Red Hat executives sharing their views and insights on the benefits of open and hybrid cloud solutions.

Additionally, key partners who have signed up for 4 and more cities like Intel (12 cities), Amazon Web Services (AWS – 11 cities), HP (9 cities), IBM (6-8 cities), and Dell (4 cities), will also share their experiences in using open source solutions to transform the IT environment while empowering enterprises for future challenges.

“Companies are beginning to realize the importance of being agile and flexible, and looking to cloud solutions to streamline their businesses. As more and more enterprises adopt cloud computing, the Red Hat Forum provides a tremendous opportunity for attendees to interact with Red Hat executives, customers, and partners, learn how they can grow their business using open source, and converse with peers on how they’ve successfully adapted to and implemented open source solutions,” commented Jim Whitehurst, president and CEO, Red Hat

The Red Hat Forum will feature local customers sharing their strategies and solutions in order to address critical pain points for organizations in the Asia Pacific region. In addition to Red Hat’s technology vision keynote, speakers will cover a range of topics, from containers to the Internet of Things (IoT). Finally, guest analysts from IDC (10 cities) will share the latest industry insights and how open source technology can redefine the future of businesses.

This year, the program has been divided into two tracks, designed to better cater to the needs and interests of attendees – Building Transformative Cloud Infrastructure and Developing Next Generation Applications. Sessions are aimed at sparking discussions on a range of topics, including containers, cloud concepts (XaaS), the Internet of Things (IoT) as well as OpenStack. In addition, engineering and product experts will be on-hand throughout the sessions to address specific technological queries and give greater insight into the Red Hat ecosystem.

“In today’s rapidly changing environment, agility and flexibility are key attributes that help determine enterprise success. Enterprises must start adapting to the latest technology trends and IT solutions, especially the explosive growth of the cloud. The Red Hat Forum will cast a spotlight on how enterprises can adopt and use the latest open source solutions to stay ahead in a competitive market,” said Dirk-Peter van Leeuwen, ‎senior vice president and general manager, Red Hat Asia Pacific; acting president, Red Hat Japan.
