Premier networking conference to be held in India

The Cisco Networking Summit-The 'Solutions showcase 2001'- is to be held in New Delhi from January 15 to 16, at the Taj Palace. John T Chambers, President and CEO, Cisco Systems Inc will deliver the executive keynote address.

The conference is a unique event for networking professionals that provides intensive, comprehensive insights into the next generation networking solutions. The Cisco Solutions Showcase 2001 India aims to provide top-line insights into India's network managers, MIS managers, systems engineers and network administrators on today's leading-edge and tomorrow's networking hotspots. 

The Sessions will be addressed by key Cisco executives and will include demonstrations of the latest products and technologies from Cisco. Areas of discussion during the two day event include Cisco's AVVID (Architecture for Voice, Video and integrated Data)-its application such as Network Security (Cisco SAFE today), IP-telephony (updates + new solutions for VoIP), IP-contact centers, VPN's etc. Detailed technology discussions will be organized on the evolution of next generation public networks, architecture for Ethernet Access Services (EAS), architecture for Internet Data Centers (IDCs), Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLs) and an introduction to wireless technology.

Speaking about the showcase Manoj Chugh, President (India & SAARC), Cisco Systems, said, "Over the years, networkers has evolved to become to Internet technologists what the Olympic games are to athletes. The conference in India is at very appropriate time in India's evolution as an IT superpower. The conference will offer Indian network managers a sneak preview on the future of internetworking."
