Odisha sees IT boost from across the seas

A team of investors from US-based Silicon Valley met Odisha CM, Naveen Patnaik at the state secretariat recently. The delegation assured CM Patnaik of an investment of US $300 million in the state.

They expressed interest to invest in Information Technology and Electronics System Design and Manufacturing sector in Odisha's Info Valley.

The visiting team appreciated the efforts of Odisha government in creating a favourable atmosphere to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) in IT and ESDM sector. It should be noted that the state government has developed an IT investment hub of over 215 acre area at Info Valley.

During the meeting IT Minister Pranab Dash, chief secretary Jugal Kishore Mohapatra, Upendra Nath Behera, state additional chief secretary and other senior official of the state were also present.
