New QNAP network-attached storage series supports RAM upto 64 GB

QNAP Systems announced that its high-performance business-class TVS-x82 NAS series and TVS-x82T Thunderbolt NAS series, powered by 6th Generation Intel 14nm multi-core processors, support upgrading the RAM to a maximum of 64 GB for optimal performance in memory-intensive applications such as virtualization.

Featuring an advanced hardware design based on the concept of tiered storage, application-based partitioning, and network traffic distribution, the TVS-x82 and TVS-x82T series are designed for business and work environment that emphasizes performance and efficiency. -py06-The expandability to 64 GB RAM and native support for Virtualization Station make both series the perfect computing and storage server options for virtualization and business-critical tasks.

“The TVS-x82 and TVS-x82T series are mostly adopted by business and workgroup users who have a strong demand for applications requiring excessive memory usage and computing power,” said David Tsao, Product Manager of QNAP, adding “By supporting up to 64GB RAM, tasks such as virtualization and online editing of high-resolution videos will be greatly boosted.”

The TVS-x82 and TVS-x82T series have also been extended with new 12-bay model options that include Intel® Core™ i7 processors and 64 GB RAM: TVS-1282T-i7-64G, TVS-1282-i7-64G and TVS-1282-i7-64G-450W. Users can enjoy greater choice in finding a NAS that meets their various needs.
