Bhubaneswar based Nettech is training about 150 engineering students from
Orissa, Jharkhand and Bihar on Linux networking at Xavier Institute of
Mana-gement (XIM). According to Swapan Purkait, Manager, Nettech-known as
Linux networking certificate pro-gram it is an annual summer event, which began
on May 2, 2005 and will continue for a month.
Purkait added that the program is designed to increase the knowledge on Linux
and Linux based solutions. "The advantage of networking products is that
they continue to co-exit in the marketplace while competing with each
other," he opined.
"The students are pro-vided with a lab, which doesn't have any Windows
based mac-hine," informed Purkait. "A similar program will also be
conducted in XLRI, Jamshedpur from May 16," he added.
