MyZus Infotech Pvt Ltd, a start-up founded by winners of the Best Business Plan Award at Eureka 2000, IIT, has launched an 'intelligent' integrated content delivery platform that delivers user-selected content through a wide variety of mobile channels like WAP enabled cell phones, PDAs, voice telephony devices, etc.

Targeted at telecom carriers and large corporates, this platform integrates with their existing Internet infrastructure, enabling them to provide their subscribers and employees with real-time access to the intranet and Internet.

Having received an angel funding of $ 60 lakh on the same day of winning the IIT Business Plan Contest, Roshan D'Silva, (22), CEO, and Sandeep Srivastava, (21), CTO, at MyZus quickly utilized their resources to launch MyZus' first offering to enhance mobile Internet access.

The product will enable telecom carriers to become the key drivers in the wireless space. It manoeuvers and tailors content for the end user, thus playing the role of a Content Service Provider (CSP), similar to the role of an ISP in the wired world. MyZus provides a platform for content delivery and aggregation to notifications to their users across different kinds of browsing gadgets like cell phones, Wap enabled phones.

This service can also be extended to handheld services like PDAs (Personal Digital Assistant) and the Palm, that are limited in resources by their computing power, small cumbersome interfaces and limited bandwidth.

Says Roshan D'Silva, CEO, MyZus, "This compelling application can go on to become one of the de facto standards of mobile Internet access. The number of worldwide wireless subscribers with Web access is expected to hit 15 million by the end of 2000 and the worldwide mobile Internet usage will rise to 600 million users in just two years. It aims to generate revenue of over $ 15 million in the next two years."
