Microtek to manufacture wireless monitors

Microtek International Ltd is now venturing intoanufacturing of wireless monitors. This is being done in technical

collaboration with Sharp Electronics of Japan, which will help Microtek in

design as well as development. A formal agreement to this effect shall sign in

the next couple of days.

Sharp will provide the complete design and will help

Microtek develop the product. A high-level delegation from Sharp comprising of

Masao Shimizo, MD and Toshifumi Nakai, Director (IC Design), recently visited

Microtek.

On its part, Microtek expects to invest Rs 10 crore in

this project and the first batch of monitors are expected to roll out by August.

The company is planning to introduce at least 10 models, ranging from Rs 11,000

for the entry-level to Rs 40,000 for high end models.
