Lenovo Phab 2 Pro to launch in India soon

Lenovo Phab 2 Pro, company’s first official Tango smartphone has finally been made available. Tango is an exciting new technology platform developed and authored by Google that uses computer vision to enable mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets, to detect their position relative to the world around them without using GPS or other external signals. Tango, in essence, has a host of sensors that enable its application in the field of Augmented Reality (AR). Lenovo is marketing it as a specialised device for niche applicatons.

Lenovo Phab 2 Pro comes with AR applications such as Lowe’s Home Improvement, Phantogeist and Raise. Lenovo Phab 2 Pro sports a 6.4-inch 2K display and is powered by a Qualcomm 652 processor backed by 4GB RAM. There is 64GB internal storage on offer and the device comes with a 16-megapixel primary camera that has a special depth-sensing unit. The front camera is 8-megapixel and the device is comes loaded with a 4,050 mAh battery.

Presently, the phone is only available in the US. However, it is expected to launch in other markets soon. According to Lenovo the mobile will be released in markets where it already has its market with other smartphones in Asia-Pacific. This will include India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Cambodia, and Myanmar. Though it didn’t release on India’s official website. But when it does we can expect to see the price tag of over INR 30,000.
