Ishoni Networks has announced that its DV2000 Gateway-on-a-Chip solution for broadband CPE, was the only single-chip solution to successfully complete OpenVoB's CallFest II multi-vendor interoperability testing. As a result, Ishoni will participate in OpenVoB's VoDSL Interoperability ShowCase at DSLcon Spring.

Ishoni's DV2000 successfully interoperated with equipment from Accelerated Networks, General Bandwidth and MetaSwitch to deliver toll-quality Voice-over-DSL (VoDSL) telephone calls. Participants were judged according to voice quality, round-trip signal delay, and plug-and-play interoperability.

Ishoni proved interoperable with Accelerated Networks' AN3200 voice services gateway, General Bandwidth's G6 VoBroadband voice gateway and MetaSwitch's VP3000 integrated broadband voice platform.

"Ishoni DV2000's interoperability with these leading broadband gateway vendors demonstrates our commitment to provide manufacturers with the most flexible and reliable CPE platform," said William Lee, President and CEO, Ishoni Networks. "We are looking forward to demonstrating the power and flexibility of our fully interoperable solution to DSLcon attendees."

The official verification was achieved in late March, at the University of New Hampshire's Interoperability Laboratory. CallFest II tested interoperability among multi-vendor broadband gateways and IADs using OpenVoB's Implementation Guide adhering to the ATM Forum's Voice-over-AAL2 Loop Emulation Service (LES) using

CAS.

Successful participants qualified for OpenVoB's inaugural VoDSL (Voice-over-DSL) Interoperability ShowCase this week at DSLcon Spring at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver (Booth No. 535). Ishoni will also demonstrate the capabilities of its family of Broadband Engines at its own booth at DSLcon.
