As per the committee's recommendations, Vaibhav Jain, the main accused in the act, has been rusticated from the institute, while the other two students have been debarred from appearing in their examinations and their admission for this session stands cancelled.

Protesting against the mischief, activists of National Students Union of India (NSUI) and other students wing staged violent protest demonstration at IPS, situated in the Taxila campus of the university, which forced the police to use mild force to control.

They demanded stringent action against the boys who had allegedly sent the photographs of girls to the American Internet company. They also wanted the removal of the director of the institute Professor AK Ramani. The demonstration, which was peaceful initially, slowly turned violent. The students entered the institute and started breaking furniture and windows.

Later, on the initiative of ASP Chaturvedi, the student activists handed over a memorandum to the officials present in the campus.
