Google and Microsoft have reached a deal to withdraw all the regulatory complaints against each other, the companies told Reuters. Both companies' representatives stated that they would continue to compete in a healthy manner for business and for clients, as their legal priorities had changed.

Google’s rivals had complained to the U.S. authorities that Microsoft unfairly used its Android system to get online advertising. The European Commission also accused Google last year of distorting internet search results to swing in favour of its shopping service, misleading both rivals and consumers.

There have been legal cases pending against each other in the US and in Germany. Now both companies have decided to settle their difference outside court.
