GIBA rolls out business boosting schemes for members

Goa IT Business Association (GIBA) has rolled out several beneficiary schemes for its members to bring back the growth momentum in the IT business in the state. The association said that it would utilize nearly 65 percent of its revenue for business boosting activities.

Nagraj Prabhu, president of GIBA said that the association has asked for additional discounts from vendors which would be transferred to the end customers in the form of special offers and schemes. The aim of this initiative is to increase customer walk in and boost the offline trade.

“We are negotiating with the vendors to provide additional discounts upto 5 to 10 percent to the dealers associated with GIBA. This discount will be transferred to the end users. We are planning to introduce schemes like crash cards, prizes or lucky draw. Our aim is to bring back the lost customers and highlight them the benefit of buying from dealers”, he said.

GIBA has started its membership drive and it has appealed various stakeholders in the channel business to join the association. The association has offered honorary membership to the software professionals, national distributors and service providers.

“We have appealed the software professionals, national distributors and service providers to join GIBA. Currently, we have nearly 70 members on board and with this membership drive, very soon we will a 100 plus member association,” Prabhu said.

Prabhu claimed that many big IT players in the state have shown their keenness to join the association. He said GIBA would make effective use of regional media to promote its upcoming activities.
