Partner Levels

Associate Member: A reseller that acts as a

channel for Enterasys networking products and has access to Enterasys

information necessary to develop their business.

Certified Partner: An expert in one or more

Enterasys solutions and may incorporate services, software and hardware

for its customers.

Elite Partner: Provides expertise in all of

Enterasys' complete end-to-end solutions, incorporating services, software

and hardware for its customers.

Distributor: Provides effective value-added

delivery channel for the supply of Enterasys solutions.

The Indian branch office of Enterasys Networks, a

Cabletron Systems company, today unveiled a new channel strategy to provide

world class service and solutions to the enterprise customers. This was

announced by Robert Ray, VP (Partner Marketing), Enterasys Networks, US, at its

annual partner conference and technology summit held at the Leela Palace resort

in Goa.

He said, "Our new channel strategy represents a new

company with an innovative culture that is focussed about providing world class

service and solutions to the enterprise customers. Our strategy will enable the

partners to understand Enterasys better with respect to its business strategy,

solutions and products through consistent awareness programs."

Under the new channel model, Enterasys partners are

classified into four categories--Associate Member, Certified Partner, Elite

Partner and Distributor. Added Uday Birje, Country Manager (India and SAARC),

Enterasys, "The new approach will help in identifying the inherent

strengths of partners and thereby enabling them with technology and other

training to deliver Enterasys solutions to the enterprise customers."

The objective of the new channel program is

comprehensive in nature and will benefit the Enterasys partners and customers.

With the new program in place, partners will be able to gain easy access to

Enterasys technology and thereby enabling them to provide optimized customer

satisfaction by offering personalized solutions.

In India and also in the entire Asia Pacific, Enterasys

does 100 percent of its business through partners. Some of its major partners

include CMC, Compaq, Global Telesystems, L&T, Network Solutions and Siemens.

Distributors include Nebula and Webcity.
