AIT-TE cricket cup unveiled

Association of Information Technology, the Bengaluru based IT association, as a part of their activities, had unveiled their annual cricket tournament. One of the key market players in structured cabling solutions, TE-Connectivity is sponsoring the cup titled, ‘AIT-TE cricket cup'.

"IT people work hard for five days and want to take rest in the weekend. I wish all the AIT members a happy time in the ground" said former Indian cricket player B.S.Chandrashekar was the chief guest of the event. He also added that IT had become inseparable part of his life as has become more used to frequent use of internet. R.Murugesan, Country Sales Manager (India and SAARC), TE connectivity, on his presentation said, "TE connectivity gives solutions for various segments and we the market leaders till date. A $14 billion company, for us, automotive is the key revenue-generating business and the broadband business with $ 3.8 billion revenue contribution." He also added that the company is investing more on R&D activities especiialy in India. "Vendor-National Distributor-Regional Distributor-System Integrators-End customer is our business model. And we always run through our partners and not of our own.", he said further adding on the new facility in Bengaluru "The manufacturing plant in Bengaluru will export the products to all the countries. And we are also opening new offices across the country".

"This is our annual event and we are pleased to have TE as our main sponsor. I also request the members to bring more sponsors for the event.", said Ananthram R Varayur, VP, AIT, who also said that the main motive behind the tournament is to create sportsmanship among the members.
