The elections for the Manglore IT association has got over and the new team has assumed office. Kethan Chandrana, CEO, Manahars is the new president and Melvin Dian, CEO, Phelix system, will be the new secretary. The other office bearers include Sujay Monterio (Vice-president) and Arun Prabhu (Treasurer).
Kasturi Gopinath Pai who had successfully completed four years presidential tenure for the two consecutive terms told 'The DQ Week', said, "It is very happy to serve as the president of the association. During my tenure, we have brought out uniformity in labor charges and we have also initiated procedures like service charges for software during the warranty period and more on creating awareness." Pai also told that the association had concentrated more on educating the end-customer through the partners especially on paper-licensing. "We taught the partners, the importance of genuine softwares and educated the partners to insist the customers not to use pirated software", he concluded.
"I hope the new team will successfully conduct an 'IT mela', an IT expo, which was on our cards for a long time. It requires also lot of team works", he said further adding that a Karnataka state-level association is must for the state.
