Coors picks Cognizant

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corp has contracted with Coors Brewing Company, a principal subsidiary of Adolph Coors Company, as e-business development and application management partner.

Cognizant will work with Coors on strategic e-business initiatives that will help Coors collaborate in real-time with its distributor community.

Kumar Mahadeva, CEO, Cognizant, said that the new applications developed by Cognizant would help improve Coors' customer collaboration, increase Coors awareness, reduce costs and increase efficiency. The first applications have already been delivered and have helped increase customer collaboration. "We have transformed the way beer distributors work with Coors by helping Coors dramatically improve the effectiveness of their sales and marketing programs."

The first Cognizant project was the development of CoorsNet, which uses e-business platforms. CoorsNet is critical to the Coors distribution, sales and marketing network, and supports order management, as well as merchandising and point of sale collaboration.
