Confed and AKIDTA to get new office bearers soon

With elections round the corner, stage is all set for new office bearers

IT associations across south are set to get new team soon where Confed-ITA will have new office bearers, and AKIDTA is gearing up for the election for its district office bearers. Currently Confed-ITA has 15 office bearers and the tenure for them is 1year, whereas AKITDA dictrict office bearers hold their office for 2 years. Talking on the same with The DQWeek, A Muthuswamy, president, Confed- ITA said, "The elections are on the completion phase. We are following our own internal guidelines for the election. The office bearers of Confed will hold the office from April 2012."

Moreover, Confed is also planning to have EC meet on November 12 this year where issues pertaining to the channel community would be discussed. On the other hand, All Kerala IT Dealers are also planning to conduct elections of its districts office bearers. Some of the districts have already got their new offi ce bearers. Speaking to The DQWeek, Jyoti Shanker, general secretary , AKITDA said, "The date of the elections is not yet fi nalized but will be around December. The AKITDA state elections will follow it in around January- February 2012." Apart from the elections, AKITDA is also planning to revamp its website where all the members would have a common platform for grievances reddressal. It is under process and the modalities would be discussed soon, according to AKITDA.
