CDC funds Infozech software

UK based CDC Capital Partners (CDC), one of the world's leading equity investors in emerging markets, has invested in Delhi based, Infozech Software Pvt Ltd, a telecom software company.

Infozech Software is focussed on developing billing solutions for next generation telecom Service Providers, including IP telephony, IP fax and wireless communication service providers.

Infozech is amongst the pioneers in this area and its' products are being used by several telecom companies, in North America and in Europe.

Expansion plans include developing new billing and customer care products for the international communications industry. "We are also working towards offering our products as an Application

Service Provider and under outsourced bureau service models, either on our own or through other strategic partners/ service providers," said Ankur Lal, CEO, Infozech Software.

With greater percolation of the Internet, there is a growing demand for innovative billing systems that will allow the telecom, cable and ISPs to charge their customers more efficiently--based on usage and quality of service, rather than time. It is estimated that the worldwide market for IP billing is expected to grow from $ 100 million currently to $ 4000 million by 2004.
