IT distribution and solutions company Astric Computers recently conducted a Computer Hardware and Networking Training Program for Employability Enhancement.

The event focused on skill development to enable the underprivileged to enable them join mainstream professions. Astric Centre of Excellence recently awarded this program by National Institute of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD), Noida, under Ministry of MSME, Government of India. New Delhi.

Neena Jha, COO, Astric COE welcomed chief guest Rajit Punhani, secretary, Social Welfare, Government of Bihar (GOB). She also encouraged the trainees to utilize their potential by honing their skills in such training programs. In his address, Punhani underlined the relevance of the course and advised the students to use this opportunity to the fullest. He continued to acknowledge the significance of this training programme to arm the students with technical expertise. This will not only improve the scenario of employment for the state candidates but will also stand in good stead to develop entrepreneurial prospects in future.

PK Sinha, director Astric COE elucidated the role of validated organizations and their need to bridge the gap between supply and demand of skilled and semi-skilled labour in current employment scenario. He added that Bihar has a huge pool of young talent who can be converted into assets with such skill development. "It is the need of the hour to explore the un-tapped talent pool of our state and bring them into the main stream for inclusive growth," said Sinha. The NIESBUD sponsored course is scheduled for a period of three months. The course will be conducted 6 days a week at 4 hrs per day. "This shall benefit the students including those with physical disability in capacity building and also raising the self-employability level of the potential entrepreneurs," added Sinha.
