Aptech applauds academic achievers at FAME 2000

Aptech Computer Education, a division of Aptech Ltd has honored the academic achievers and gave away awards for academic excellence to its meritorious students and faculty members for the year 2000.

FAME 2000 was held simultaneously at the three cities of New Delhi, Chandigarh and Lucknow. The Academic Excellence Awards were instituted by Aptech to laud the outstanding students and faculty members. This annual event is being conducted in every region and is greatly awaited by all.

Sampat Singh, Hon'ble Finance Minister, Haryana was the Chief Guest at the function held at Chandigarh, PK Jha , Secretary, Secondary Education was the Chief Guest at Lucknow. Dr YS Goel, Head, (Training and Placement), IIT Delhi was the Chief Guest at New Delhi and did the honors of giving away the awards.

Speaking at the occasion, Ravi Khanna, Zonal Head, Aptech Computer Education, North Zone, said, "The faculty members are the backbone of the academic process and are instrumental in the process of shaping excellent students and future IT professionals. The faculty members remain in constant contact with the students and nurture them right from the stage of enrolment into a course and finally to their placement. Our endeavor is to motivate the students and faculty members to excel in their respective fields."

In the current year, 366 students and 44 faculty members from 298 Aptech centers spread across the states of J&K, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, UP, Rajasthan, the Union Territory of Chandigarh and Nepal were awarded the Academic Excellence Awards. The criteria for nominating a student is the examination performance, performance in extra-curricular activities and special initiatives/contribution.
