Speaking to The DQWeek, VR Srishar, president, ACTA said, "The prime motive behind starting such an association is to create awareness in the market that all the products of leading brands are available even in tier-2 and tier-3 towns." He added that the association will also concentrate on the key issues like vendor-dealer partnership, implementing new strategies in the association and also business-development activities among members from own association as well as with the members from other districts. After the launch, ACTA has planned to create a uniform system in service charges where the charges for services across the region will remain same. "After the launch, we are also planning to conduct an exhibition and some other events are in the pipeline," said Jayaprakash, VP, ACTA.

Jayaprakash also said that with the help of Confed-ITA, the regional association will bring unity among the members to address their major concerns. "On the lines of the Confed-ITA, we will also conduct 'Get together to grow together' (GT2GT) and organize trips, events, and tours among the members and also with the vendor representatives."

Even though there is a registered district association Coimbatore, the distance between the city and other parts of the districts and the communication gap between the vendors and dealers in small towns are the key reasons for birth of this association. Since Anamalai hills spread between Pollachi and Palani, the association is named after Anamalai.
