Nvidia Corporation, the worldwide leader in programmable
graphics processor technologies, today announced the opening of its design
center in Pune. The new facility marks Nvidia's continuing expansion in the
Asia-Pacific region.
The Pune facility will be equipped as a state-of-the-art
data center allowing the design of technologies for a wide range of products and
platforms.
Since its founding, Nvidia has invested over $1 billion
into research and development. As it expands into new product areas, including
handheld graphics processors for mobile phones, the company intends to broaden
its research and development investment on a worldwide basis.
